Every cloud has a silver lining... Arrogance is the beginning of decline

Introduction:

Arrogance has never been merely a moral characteristic of rulers. Rather, it was—as Ibn Khaldun described it—the first sign of the aging of states and the decline of empires. Today, as we observe the actions of Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu, and their political team, it becomes clear how Machiavellian politics can be practiced on the ground. The end justifies the means, international consensus is ignored, and power is exploited without restraint to achieve immediate political goals.

What appears to some as political cunning is merely the prelude to a potential reversal. Signs of a widespread awakening have begun to appear, spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia, as various countries become aware of the dangers of this approach and realize that absolute dependence is no longer an acceptable option. These signs are not yet a complete awakening, but they are closer than ever to being realized.

Arrogance and Political Arrogance:

When political arrogance is applied in practice, the end becomes paramount, and the means justify it, no matter how harsh´-or-contrary to international standards. The policies of Trump, Netanyahu, and their team are a living example of this: ignoring international consensus, expanding settlements, using military force and diplomatic hegemony without accountability, and pursuing immediate goals at the expense of regional and international stability.

This arrogance and tyranny are not superficial phenomena-;- they are rather indicative of a deeper malaise within the political system. There is a lack of accountability and justice, a purge of the opposition, and a neglect of the principle of transparency.

Unbridled Political Rage is the Beginning of Collapse:

Ibn Khaldun was clear: Every political power goes through a life cycle that begins with strength and fanaticism, then gradually declines when luxury and arrogance take hold of power. Excessive arrogance coupled with political arrogance represents the beginning of the downfall of empires.

History is replete with examples: Greece, Rome, Persia, and even the modern Soviet -union- all experienced partial´-or-complete collapse after a period of excessive arrogance and unchecked haughtiness.

Indicators of a Global Awakening:

But there is another aspect that cannot be ignored: the principle of "every cloud has a silver lining." The collapse of reckless Machiavellian policies on a large scale creates an opportunity to forge new balances and reset international relations.

The awakening, though not yet fully realized, has begun to emerge in various regions. In Europe, unequivocal support has waned. Countries in the Middle East and South Asia have begun to recognize the dangers of blind alignment with US-Israeli policies. China, for its part, is handling regional tensions with caution.

All these movements reflect the beginning of a collective awareness that unchecked arrogance is not just a threat to the enemies of the state, but a threat to the international structure itself.

Conclusion and Future Outlook:

The indicators we see today are not a sudden explosion, but rather slow cracks in the wall that some powers believed was made of iron. The next step, if the political and popular will exists, is for these cracks to transform into tangible institutional action, achieving reform in international relations and putting an end to policies that practice arrogance as an ongoing strategy.

Ultimately, history seems to repeat itself: Machiavellian arrogance breeds political arrogance, arrogance precedes collapse, and collapse paves the way for a new awakening. Dawn may not yet have dawned, but it is closer than ever. Here, the "blind spot" principle is realized: the damage caused by excessive arrogance may become the spark that ignites a more conscious and just international renaissance.
