When the hands of the night clock approached the farthest of their light moments
Your eyes inhabited it
Announcing with its chimes the birth of a new year
And I, like a child carried by your arms
Drowning among the waves of a travelling night
On the shores of your eyes
Embracing the last of those moments
Bid farewell to a life gone by
To start a new life in your hands
I closed my eyes on your shoulders
To wish that life would last a moment that I live among your days
Coming to you carrying my heart in my palms
Covering it with beads of dew
Enveloping it with dewdrops
Falling on the forehead of my life
From the eagerness of my fear
And I wonder, is it enough?
Is my heart enough for you?
