The Story of a Donkey...and the clever one understands!!
Political Writer s Break
By Mahmoud Said Kawash
A man went to the animal market and bought a donkey, hoping it would be of "help" to him during his suffocating crisis, which was part of his country s crisis. He brought it home. Overwhelmed with joy, he took it up to the roof, lavished it with his generosity, and pampered it beyond de-script-ion. He began showing it the dwellings of his tribe from above, so that it could recognize the roads and alleys and avoid getting lost if it went out and returned home alone.
At sunset, the man decided to take the donkey down from the roof so it could spend the night in the stable designated for the animals. It became agitated and refused to come down, impressed by the roof and the view of the surrounding heights. The man pleaded with the donkey repeatedly, then tried to forcefully pull it out more than once. But the donkey rebelled and disobeyed its owner, refusing to come down. It kicked the roof pillars with its feet and brayed loudly in his face, expressing its disobedience and refusal to comply.
The entire house shook from the donkey s kicking, and the decayed wooden ceiling began to collapse under the weight of its kicking feet.
The man quickly went down to the house to evacuate and save himself, along with his wife and children.
A few minutes later, the roof and walls of the house collapsed, and the donkey died. The man stood at its bloodied head and said, "It s not your fault, it s mine, because I chose you from among all the donkeys and brought you up to the roof myself!"
The bottom line is that it s difficult to bring down a donkey that s been taken to a place other than its proper place. Unfortunately, donkeys have become so numerous on our roofs that the foundations of our nation and homeland have been shaken. Is there a miracle to bring them down?
This is the state of leaders and politicians in our country. Whoever goes up to the roof does not accept to come down before demolishing the house before coming down!!
