Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, the mother of nine martyrs
By Mahmoud Said Kawash

Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, the bereaved mother from Gaza who surpassed Al-Khansa, Abu Dhu ayb Al-Hudhali, and Al-Harith bin Habib Al-Bahili in the number of her martyrs, and surpassed them in patience, endurance, and faith in Allah s will!!

Martyrs are provided for by their Lord, Allah.
The bereaved mother from Gaza, Dr. Alaa Al-Najjar, bids farewell to her nine children, victims of Zionist crimes and genocide. May God have mercy on them and grant her patience in their loss.
Patience, patience, Doctor, for the day will come when they and all the martyrs, wounded, prisoners, and detainees of Palestine will be avenged, when a glorious victory will be achieved over the sinful usurpers, when they will be swept away from the blessed land, and rights will be -restore-d to their rightful owners. God is capable of all things.
I do not know of anyone who lost nine of their children at once,´-or-even in batches. I do not know of such an experience, not among the people I have known, nor even in my readings of biographies, histories, and miraculous stories.
Al-Khansa lost four children, becoming a byword, and her title was ascribed to bereaved women for the rest of their lives. Abu Dhu ayb al-Hudhali lost five children, immortalizing them and being immortalized through them in his famous poem. One of the rare stories is that of a poet named al-Harith ibn Habib al-Bahili, who lost eight of his children. He then saw a man weeping over a sheep eaten by a wolf, so he gave him his camel and said, "Take this for your sheep, but leave the weeping to his family."
I used to think that the story of al-Harith al-Bahili and his eight children carried the largest possible number in an experience unbearable for a single child. Then, yesterday, I saw with my own eyes a poor doctor receiving the bodies of nine of her children, killed by scoundrels in a single moment of baseness and vileness. Nine!! They spent nearly seven years in her womb, as she embraced their remains and remains! And they spent eighteen years in her bosom, as she bid them farewell to darkness! And in between, there was long exhaustion, nights, ---sleep---lessness, dreams, and conversation!!
Oh Allah, Lord of the oppressed and the poor, and O Almighty, Your revenge!!
