On May 6, 2025, Dr. Munir Al-Barsh published on his account on the "X" platform the following news:
(A disturbing rise in cases of congenital deformities in the Gaza Strip, including the case of the child Malak Al-Qanoua, who was born without a brain. More than 144 cases have been documented over the past 18 months, indicating a dangerous trend that calls for an urgent international investigation into the type of weapons used by the Israeli occupation and their impact on the health of fetuses.)
In commenting on this news, I say that in the face of a case like that of the child Malak, who was born without a brain, the face of humanity shatters, and how much it shatters in light of what is happening in Gaza. The natural course of life should start with a cry of birth, but in Gaza, the cries begin with the silence of death and the announcement of an end with a small body that was not completed.
And good morning, Arabs...
More than 144 cases of congenital deformities have been documented in the Strip within just 18 months, signaling a real catastrophe working secretly and targeting the wombs of mothers --dir--ectly.
The weapons used by the State of Blood are not-limit-ed to --dir--ect killing, but have surpassed that to infiltrate the genetic makeup of fetuses, who are supposed to be the foundation of the next generation that this state sees as the army that will liberate Palestine.
And good morning, Arabs...
The use of depleted uranium, white phosphorus, and ammunition containing heavy metals has become a prominent feature of the repeated airstrikes in the Strip, as confirmed by medical reports, field testimonies, and international analytical laboratories. The use of such ammunition is not new for the occupying state, as research shows that investigations by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch documented the Israeli occupation s use of white phosphorus in Gaza, particularly during the 2008-2009 war.
Thus, the consequences of this aggression cannot only be measured by the number of martyrs, but by the number of deformities, incomplete fetuses, and mothers carrying in their wombs a distorted future for the coming generation. The oppressive occupying state, which claims that the use of such weapons is for "national security," tests more than traditional killing--;-- it turns the Palestinian body into a testing ground for its weapons.
And good morning, Arabs...
The spread of cases like that of the child Malak, born without a brain, is clear evidence of exposure to radioactive materials during the mother s pregnancy. But to whom does Gaza turn in complaint when its judge, as the saying goes, is its adversary?
The "United Nations and human rights organizations" only respond with exhausted and boring diplomatic speeches, false claims that reflect their complicity with the occupying state and their cover-up of the heinous crimes. Despite the fact that what is happening is a --dir--ect violation of what is known as "international law and the Geneva Conventions," had this been a case involving any other place than Gaza and Palestine. But this law, and those weak agreements, vanished at the gates of tormented Gaza, sinking up to its knees in the blood of martyrs that never dries.
What remains of the face of humanity when each time a part of it falls?
And how can babies be born without brains because of a ruthless war in front of the world with no meaningful action?
And good morning, Arabs...
This is happening in front of our Arab peoples, most of whom are drowned in the abyss of trivial TV channels focused on cooking, skin beautification, hair growth, and body whitening.
When will we wake up to the small body that bears the map of the crime with its evidence?
