	A brink of bread waits,
Crusty promise on the plate,
Love s feast, bittersweet.
God may turn away,
But my heart finds its own way,
In your warmth, I stay.
Each crumb tells a tale,
Of laughter shared in the sun,
And tears in the rain.
I whisper your name,
As shadows lengthen and creep,
My soul s quiet flame.
In the silence deep,
Faith and longing intertwine,
You, my heart s true keep.
A simple meal shared,
Yet it s more than bread and wine,
It s love laid bare, dared.
Though heaven may frown,
In your eyes, I see the light,
A love so profound.
So let the world judge,
For in you, I find my grace,
A joy, not a grudge.
A brink of bread waits,
In this life, where love is king,
I choose you, always.
