Gibran Khalil Gibran
The other celebrity is the Lebanon American Gibran Khalil. His sister died of tuberculosis(TB.) At the age of 14 his brother Peter died of the same disease, his mother died of cancer, he himself had developed TB too. As he wrote of himself in his celebrity book (The Prophet), ‘out of suffering, have emerged the strongest souls, the most massive characters are seared with scars.’ He was greatly influenced the worldwide known singers too. Elvis Presley was deeply affected by his (The Prophet). And one of his most notable lines of his poetry made song by the Beatles. It reads:
Half what I say is meaningless, but I say it so that the other half may reach you.’
