MARMARA- Translated Poem

Rita Odeh
2010 / 11 / 12

I dedicate this poem to those who, out of love, rode the wave towards its shores,
hanging the secrets of its songs on the stars, holding hope as a survival medicine
that will cure the wound of its people.
To them, and to the heroes of MARMARA- the Ship of Freedom, and to Gaza, I dedicate my poem.

There is a sea in my Spirit,
Your blood is the ship sail.
A star sneaked towards me,
At the sad moment of tide,
From the hostage dance of the sea,
Accompanied by the imprisoned wave of dawn...
A star glittered and rode the poem s saddle,
Ordering Names to swing and
Words to say:
Here I am, and he is me, I give birth"
He gives martyred death,
Our silence meets
For we are the tears of the new born
And the glory of the martyr,
Roses lost their scent in the cry of the wounded veins".

Free as a sea..
Shores are your space
The end of rising fog
The eternity of glittering wounds
Nobody is white except you,
Your face is the tears of daisies,
As seen by the divine Three Persons,
While her revelation is the secret of the uprising of stars,
Stretch your roots and let me drink.
Her storytelling is salt decorated by legends swimming in
The mixture of flushed water:

A moon flattering a rose that
Slept on the cheek of water- stretching
Its self east of the place,
Crawling up west of the echo,
Getting the color of the sacrificed rainbow
And the lightening of dew,
Dancing on the top of lips:" Getting Flesh and Blood"

Free as the sea..
Distance is your ink,
I set it free at the shore of Gaza as an expression of light and fire
Incense and Bay leaves
Good inspiration
Sweets of pride and victory
For the child who is holding his heart in his hands
Coloring horizons by songs decorated by the ice of an eye
Decorating the clouds by the images of arriving guests-
Their colors, their stuff, their news, their sayings
And their baskets, the magic of notebooks and dolls
Reciting to them,
Wishing them ((Amen))...
"Mighty...
The siege is broken...
The siege is over
Forgiving...
The wall is cursed... the wall fell...
Almighty..."
Darkness is flamed by the prayers of the day.
Roses rise from the recites of shells.
A peaceful Ship ends the silence of deserts.
It was driven by divine love, Passion and amiability.
It rose so high,
Reaching Saturn, drowning
The weaknesses of leaders, their soldiers and their thrones
In the red fogged darkness...
