Diets

I began my first diet when I was twelve years old, though I was a living image of a Lolita. I was 150 cm long and weighed 50 kg, I actually had a perfect body and was known for my beauty every where I went, but diets were the epidemic of that era, and the skinny look was so hip then so I decided to go on a diet. For two days I ate and drank nothing but three glasses of orange juice every day, I got sick the third day. Since then my weight kept fluctuating and I was on a non stop diet. I picked up some very good habits from the constant dieting though, I fell in love with vegetables and fruits and consume reasonable amounts of them in my daily nutrition and I developed a habit of not eating plenty of carbs or fats, actually I have developed stability in nutrition as I got older, I m healthy considering my age and I can mount the stairs and reach the fifth floor where I live fast enough without suffering from a heart attach. But on the other hand the ability of my fat cells to store has increased than what ought to be due to dieting a lot. What I aim from the above is to warn who ever reads these lines against dieting, especially in early ages, dieting then is the main reason for gaining weight, dieting is a multi billion industry which infiltrates the media like an octopus, there is too many propaganda brain wash about it to keep the cash flowing. The ideal system is to eat healthy and make exercise a daily habit since child hood and to be more concerned with health than the current look of a certain era. Who knows, may be in the days to come, eating "mefataka" will be the hip look in the media once more.
