SHE WANTED HIM TO COLONISE HER

What she asked for,
Apart from what the word “man” means, was
A man who embraces love as a religion
A man who does not believe in the infidelity of farewell
A man
A man who would colonise her with tenderness
To defeat the sorrows of her sad city
To melt the ice of her loneliness.
However, what he did
He possessed an ideal of beauty
He made of her nothing but a statue of a woman of her
A sad face with hardened features
Carved by cruel icy hands
A body buried among the folds of a closed coffin
Built on the walls of a temple of amputated dreams
Screaming behind an eternal smile
All the groans of life
A deep dumb smile
Screaming with a whisper of madness
But he was completely unable to hide his wounds
Where the paws of thorns extended to him!!
