Are the Kurds Ovens?

By: Freeyad Ibrahim

When ISIS attacks the world, the world could not find better fighters than the Kurds to fight them. When Turkey shoots down two Russian jet fires, Russia could not find better than Kurds to fight the Turks.
Think of the recent escalations and the confrontations between the two sides, to know the truth.
When Turkey could get no alliance to combat PKK, she could find no better alliance than the Kurds represented by the leader of the South –Kurdistan region.
For the Kurds cannot make alliances with each other, but only with the foreigners.
When Bagdad could find no alliance to stand against the leading party in Erbil, they could find no better alliance than PUK in Sulaymaniyah city. Yesterday the spokesman of the mentioned party announced:
In the name of( Abbadi) and consequently in the name of Tehran: (you Kurds must give the oil of Kurdistan back to the central government…).
When a little Kurdish child dies drowned on the seashore, with his face stuck to the sand, and whose father was not welcome in Canada, all other refugees and emigrants round the world, become welcome in Europe, the whole world sympathized with them, and shed tears on the scene.
And the gain went not to the father of the deceased child, but it went again to the others.
When I see and hear all this, the Kurdish national poet ( Bekhud) comes to my mind immediately. He was utterly right and justified when he described the Kurds as ovens, tandoors.
Some eight decades ago he cried bitterly on his Kurdish people in a piece of poem:
(These Kurds bake with their inflamed lungs and breasts warm bread, but they eat it not , alas, they are like ovens.)
