The Gap between People and Government

Hikmat Issa Chemjani

In democratic society, government is often held by the support of its people who regard themselves the owner of their elected authority, here the truthfulness is necessary to enhance the relationship between the two associated partners, Some duties fall over the both sides and each one should undertake their duties so that they can guarantee their rights. It s obvious that the lack of cooperating between people and government leads to floating a gap onto surface that fetches tension, disorder and chaos.
Despite of being compared to the central government´-or-other parts of Iraq, Kurdistan region is evolved since the slump of tyrant statue in Baghdad, it s more developed relatively possessing stability and security found in the region, but this doesn t mean that the region looks like the Garden of Eden
Kurdistan government is a model that left a big gap between establishments and its people along many consecutive cabinets, especially the recent cabinet which is the form of many blocks that won in poll last elections in 2013.
This time the active opposition has admitted to participate in forming what s called a multi based government claiming that Kurdistan needs a political homeostasis.
It s clear for observers who follow-up the Kurdish affairs closely that there was a strong government and an active opposition in Kurdistan parliament, but this time as it s apparent, it was constituted from almost all political parties and it has a weak administrative performance conversely.
This cabinet doesn t worth the praises of its rulers since there isn t a common consensus on the common problems in the region as there is not unified and integrated vision´-or-project to be implemented, because each party assumed to participate in the game with its private plan and tried to engage the plan into the game, these multi strategies in one container may cross each other and paralyzes the performance of the government and consequently it left many unfulfilled vows they had given during election propaganda.
Although the government faced many challenges since the liberation of Iraq, it has the interior problems beginning from the disputes among political parties on the modality of presidency law and the-limit-s of his authorities and exterior problems that are chronic with the central government.
Despite the announced battle against the most dangerous terrorist organization (ISIS) along Kurdistan borders, the Kurdistan government confronts many challenges. It s compelled to get trade-offs, first determine the conflicts with Baghdad, on the other hand people suffer the lacking of the simplest life needs, like electricity, fuel, public services and job opportunities in a time the region undergoes the most deadly administrative and financial corruption that led a big wave of migration of Kurdish youth fled to Europe.
All of these problems created a big gap that made people far from their elected government.
Still there are opportunities if there is a strong will to take procedures doing some reforms to fill in these un-wanted holes by creating a great reliance.
