Save Iraq!

This is a message to the civil world,

O citizens of the world don’t let Iraq alone. Iraq the land where the first city was built, the first letter was written and the first law was legislated, this land shouldn’t be left alone to face its fate amid global silence.
What is the world waiting for, terrorists are spreading everywhere, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Yemen, Afghanistan and elsewhere. This region is a strategic area, both its location: close to Europe, in the heart of this world, besides its richness. It will be a global mistake to deliver this area to them on a golden plate-;- they will be richer and stronger. They will control the world if so. Don’t wait to see the danger at doors so as to react-;- this was the most repeated mistake throughout history, I hope we will not repeat it this time.

O Iraqis, please don’t attack any sect now, let’s be one nation, work together to save our homeland, it is ours, we will be lost if something bad happened to it. This is not a romantic speech-;- it is a matter of fact. We should stand together supporting our homeland, never personalize Iraq, we are all against the sectarian government, but the danger now is much greater, they want to divide Iraq and talk about this as the best solution, this is not true. Iraqis lived together for centuries, there are Shiite in the north, Sunnis in the south, Christians everywhere, the largest cities in Iraq are mixed, those who are talking about dividing our homeland, want to see weak, destroyed, bloody and unstable Iraq. The solution is to sit together, surround the strangers whoever they were, Iraqis only can solve it, find a solution fulfilling the Iraqi benefits, not others. All strangers have their own interest and they will never care for Iraqi tears and blood. Don’t burn your homeland for the sake of others,´-or-for the sake of politicians working to achieve their master’s goals.

We have suffered a lot, for more than a decade, daily death, explosions, bombed cars, suicide bombers, and sectarian militias, what we are waiting for so as to understand that only our unity can bring us peace. Religion in Iraq is not a unifying factor, this should be understood. You should think and choose whether to make Iraq our priority and get a peaceful life´-or-the religions and sects and continue this aimless, painful, stupid war.

For those who are supporting ISIL because of the mistreatment by Iraqi army, please think for a minute, should we continue replacing a bad ruler by another? Many People in Iraq welcomed what had happened in 2003-;- they want to get rid of Saddam, what was the result? Should we repeat the scenario? I am sure we are much more intelligent and I will beckon on your intelligence and good judgment. Those want to establish an Islamic rule, look at Syria, nothing has been left, everywhere you go there, you find death, smell of blood, destroyed building, refugees in tents, beggars in the neighboring countries, is that what you want? You want to be killed, humiliated, depriving your children from a peaceful life, their schools to be closed, to see people hit, killed and crosses on the hands of barbaric fighters, please don’t be shortsighted, they want their own dream to come true on the ruins of your dreams. “They are treating us well,” someone might say, may be, but this is for now, to be more accepted, and then the serpent will show us its venomous tusk. I am not talking about my own expectations, I am talking about a reality can be seen on earth in Syria. Those fighters should never be trusted. Foreigners are working for their own interests, not for you-;- don’t let the next generations curse us for being traitors, selling our homeland to others for foolish reasons.

O Iraqi politicians, please, be wise this time! Sit together, negotiate, discuss everything, it is a matter of existence! Treat Iraqis as one nation! We can’t judge a nation without getting the acceptance of all its members, I mean the majority for sure, for some are working to gain the power even if the government was fair, but don’t give those opportunists the pretext to exist and the base to gain more supporters. Be wise! Iraq can’t be judged except with a secular regime, based on citizenship, otherwise you are leading the nation to hell for your own interests. Be candid and frank with you yourselves, in Iraq, Islamic rule is a way to divide it, religion in general can’t bring peace when they are mixed with politics. Theocracy leads to the division of Sudan, religious problems divide India into three countries, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, and still there is no peace between them. Because of religious problems we can’t find Yugoslavia on maps today. Find a solution, review the constitution, the judicial and martial institutions, do everything to solve the problems and save Iraq.

For the people of Middle East, this will be a big fire, it will burns all, throughout history, you were watching happily´-or-indifferently the fall of your neighbors till the danger reaches them all. Don’t repeat this again, look at history and think. Iraq is a great land, doesn’t deserve to be a battlefield for others, this is an ancient beautiful land, multicultural, please don’t disfigure our land, it is the duty of the whole world to save it. Save Iraqis, save the Sumerian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Jewish, Christian and Islamic heritage here. Don’t watch the destruction of this land and don’t wait for the danger to knock at your doors.
